Late fall and early winter is the time when most of the plants in your landscaping go into dormancy and although leaf removal is a very important part of fall clean up, it is not the only thing that needs to be completed to ensure your landscaping looks its best next spring. Proper trimming and pruning is also extremely important. Developmental pruning now will allow for better growth in the spring. It also is a great opportunity to repair any small damage that has occurred to plants, and to ensure that they maintain the proper shape and appearance for the upcoming season. Another service that creates a neater appearance over the winter is the cutting back of dormant perennials and ornamental grasses.
